Income

This indicator is an approximate measure of how much of the income can be attributed to each member of the household. It refers to the median equivalised nominal disposable income of individuals. Disposable household income is divided by the equivalised household size to calculate equivalised disposable income for each person. This equivalised income is then applied to each member of the household.

Real Household Disposable Income is Gross income (which includes employment income, rental income, social transfers and inter-household transfers received) less tax (including USC), social insurance contributions and inter-household transfers paid, and adjusted for inflation.
