During 2013, a total of 210,399 penalty point endorsement notices were issued, a fall of 12.0% on the previous year. Over three quarters (77%) of the penalty point endorsement notices issued in 2013 were for speeding.
Males incurred more penalty point endorsement notices than females in 2013. In cases where gender was recorded, males incurred 111,415 (63%) penalty point endorsement notices while females incurred 65,859 (37%).
