Changes to methodology and data sources in this year's Annual National Accounts include:

Annual microdata files for the year 2024, these include detailed files from annual CSO business surveys and annual firm level data from the Revenue Commissioners.
Annual revisions to 2023-2025 data from CSO’s Balance of Payments surveys.
Revision to Foreign Travel in Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) as a results of updates to Household Travel Survey data.
Under guidance from Eurostat, CSO has revised the classification of Financial Vehicle Corporation (FVC) loan assets in the estimation of FISIM. These revisions principally affect PCE and FISIM Exports.
Revisions to Compensation of Employees (COE) including; Exhaustive adjustment to COE estimate to account for wages paid outside the Revenue payroll system, updated pensions data from the Irish Pensions Authority, inclusion of employer contributions to PRSAs and updated Payroll data from Revenue Commissioners.

Table 3.6 Updates shows the updates to Gross Value Added at Constant Basic Prices by Sector of Origin and Gross National Income at Constant Market Prices (chain linked annually and referenced to year 2024).

Table 8.1 Updates shows the updates to expenditure on Gross National Income at Current Market Prices.

Table 8.3 Updates shows the updates to expenditure on Gross National Income at Constant Market Prices (chain linked annually and referenced to year 2024).
