This publication has been compiled during the COVID-19 crisis. The results contained in this publication reflect some of the economic impacts of the COVID-19 situation.

In 2020, a total of 11,855 trading vessels (of 100 gross tonnes or more) arrived in Irish ports, a decrease of 8.5% compared with 2019.
In total, 51.4 million tonnes of goods were handled by Irish ports, of which, 34.1 million tonnes of goods were unloaded and 17.3 million tonnes were loaded. This compares with 53.2 million tonnes of goods in 2019.
Dublin port was the busiest port in 2020, handling almost half (49.1%) of all goods.
