This section provides data on children with a disability in Ireland. The number of children with a disability in Ireland refers to those who reported the experience of at least one long-lasting condition or difficulty as reported in Census 2022. See Census Background Notes for further information. 

The data for children registered as having an intellectual, physical and/or sensory disability uses figures of children registered for HSE funded disability services provided by the National Ability Supports System.
