This section provides information on smoking and e-cigarette use (also known as vaping) among children and young people.

Smoking cigarettes and vaping are both ways to inhale nicotine. Research has shown smoking seriously negatively impacts someone’s health and reduces their life expectancy. The long-term health impact of vaping is not yet known.
