  • A total of 197.4 million passengers were carried on scheduled bus services, 32.6 million passengers travelled on the Luas and 37.8 million passengers travelled by rail in 2014.

  • Iarnród Éireann carried 578,000 tonnes of freight in 2014. The principal commodity carried was mineral ores.

  • The number of journeys by users of Dublinbikes increased to just over 3 million (3,014,937) in 2014, an increase of 77.0% on the 2013 figure.
