Labour Force Survey Q2 2025

In the last ten years, employment in the Irish labour force has increased by more than 770,000 to a record 2,818,100 with almost 660,000 of those full-time roles. 

Meanwhile, unemployment has fallen from around 230 thousand to 140 thousand. More than a fifth of those were classified as ‘long-term’ unemployed compared with over a half ten years ago.
