Dublin passenger numbers in February 2023 up 2% compared with February 2019

COVID-19 restrictions led to a sharp fall in passengers handled by Irish airports.

The number of passengers in Dublin airport in February 2023 was almost twice that of February 2022 numbers, and 2% higher than that seen in the same month in 2019 (before COVID-19). There were 2,336,794 passengers handled by Dublin, Cork, Knock and Shannon airports in February 2023 compared with 2,271,760 for the same month in 2019.  There were 2,038,737 passengers handled by Dublin airport in February 2023 compared with 1,993,325 passengers in February 2019.

(Note: Knock airport was closed from April to June 2020 and from February to May 2021. Cork Airport was closed in October 2021. Data for Kerry not available at time of publication.)
