More than three-quarters of large enterprises used ERP software

Enterprises use data in various ways to support and enhance business processes. One such type of software is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, which is used to manage resources by sharing information among different functional areas (e.g. accounting, planning, production, marketing). Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is used to manage information about customers (e.g. relations or transactions). CRM facilitates communication with the customer and helps track customer interests and purchasing habits. Business Intelligence (BI) software accesses and analyses data (e.g. from internal IT systems and external sources) and presents analytical findings in reports, summaries, dashboards, graphs, charts and maps, to provide users with detailed insights for decision-making and strategic planning.

In 2023, almost one-third (31%) of enterprises used Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, 28% used Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and 22% used Business Intelligence (BI) software.

Among large enterprises, 76% of enterprises used ERP software, 62% used CRM software, and 70% used BI software. For medium sized enterprises, 54% used ERP software, 48% used CRM software, and 43% used BI software. Among small enterprises 25% of enterprises used ERP software, 23% use CRM software, and 16% used BI software.
