Net IIP vis-à-vis the US (See Table 3.5)

At the end of Q2 2026, Ireland's net international investment position vis-à-vis the United States stood at €1,619 bn, up from €1,337bn in Q1 2026. The quarter-on-quarter increase in NIIP vis-à-vis the US was mainly driven by a larger increase in the stock of financial assets, than the increase in financial liabilities. Market price changes were the main driver of the movement in the stock of financial assets.
