In Census 2022, there were 522,486 adults aged 18 years and over living with their parents, 14% more than in 2016.
At 9%, Galway City had the lowest proportion of adults aged 18 years and over living with their parents, up 11% on the 2016 figure.
At 16%, South Dublin had the highest proportion of adults aged 18 years and over living with their parents, up 11% on the 2016 figure.
There were 10,393 same-sex couples in 2022, up 72% from 2016.
The number of children in same-sex couples was 1,853, 86% higher than in 2016.
In 2022, there were 331,783 children aged under 15 years in childcare.
In South Dublin, there were 18,728 children in childcare, 29% of all children aged under 15 years in the county and the lowest proportion at State level.
In Monaghan, there were 5,508 children in childcare, 38% of all children aged under 15 years in the county and the highest proportion at State level.
