CSO will examine all submissions received to help develop the Census 2027 Dissemination Strategy, which will be published on cso.ie before Census 2027.
This consultation follows the previous consultation on the Census 2027 form content. The CSO received over 400 submissions with suggestions for new questions, and changes to existing questions, during this consultation. These were reviewed by the Census Advisory Group, which recommended a set of questions to be trialed in the Census Pilot Survey 2024.
Following analysis of the responses to the Pilot Survey, the CSO published a report on the consultation, the Pilot Survey, and the conclusions of the Group, including its recommended content for the Census 2027 form. Census 2027 was approved by Government in November 2025.
