Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) surveys run by the CSO are funded by the European Union through annual grants administered by Eurostat.
Among the 36 countries, the highest price levels for Oils & Fats were observed in Switzerland (70% above the EU27 average) while the lowest price levels were observed in North Macedonia (28% below the EU27 average). The Irish prices for Oils & Fats were 6% above the EU27 average. Of the 20 Eurozone countries the highest price levels were observed in Malta (30% above the average) while the lowest price levels were observed in Italy (10% below the average), see Table 10.1 below.
Of the 36 countries Ireland was the 20th most expensive for Oils & Fats, and 12th most expensive in the Eurozone.
