Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) surveys run by the CSO are funded by the European Union through annual grants administered by Eurostat.
In the 36 countries, price levels for Milk, Cheese & Eggs were highest in Iceland (72% above the EU27 average) and lowest in Slovakia (14% below the EU27 average). Irish price levels for Milk, Cheese & Eggs were 11% above the EU27 average. Of the Eurozone countries the highest price levels were observed in Cyprus (31% above the EU27 average) and the lowest were in Slovakia (14% below the EU27 average), see Table 9.1 below.
Ireland ranked 15th most expensive of the 36 countries and 8th most expensive of the 20 Eurozone countries.
