Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) surveys run by the CSO are funded by the European Union through annual grants administered by Eurostat.
The highest price levels for Meat were in Switzerland (108% above the EU27 average). Montenegro and Slovakia were joint lowest at 30% below the EU27 average. The Irish price levels for Meat were level with the EU27 average. The highest Meat price levels in the Eurozone (20 Eurozone countries) were observed in Luxembourg and the lowest in Slovakia, 37% above and 30% below the EU27 average respectively, see Table 7.1 above.
Ireland was the 14th most expensive of the 36 countries for Meat, and 9th most expensive of the Eurozone countries.
