Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) surveys run by the CSO are funded by the European Union through annual grants administered by Eurostat.
Of the 36 countries, the price levels of Fruits, Vegetables, & Potatoes were highest in Switzerland (37% above the EU27 average) and lowest in North Macedonia (40% below the EU27 average). In Ireland prices for Fruits, Vegetables, & Potatoes were 9% above the EU27 average.
In the Eurozone, the highest prices for Fruits, Vegetables, & Potatoes were observed in Luxembourg (24% above the EU27 average) and the lowest in Slovakia (16% below the EU27 average), see Table 11.1 below.
Ireland was the 11th most expensive of the 36 countries and 6th most expensive in the Eurozone for Fruits, Vegetables, & Potatoes.
