The Agricultural Land Prices for 2020, which was due to be published on 25 November 2021, is being deferred until 26 January 2022.
While reviewing the land transactions for 2020, the CSO observed a significant rise in the volume of pending transactions due to the impact of Covid-19. As a result, following a review of the data, the CSO have decided to increase the scope of the agricultural land price statistics. The addition of the pending transactions will improve both the quality and coverage of the publication.
This improvement in the methodology will result in revisions to the retrospective data. On the 26 January 2022, the CSO plan to publish the 2020 data and the revised data for the years 2013 to 2019. Further detailed information will be provided to users at the time of publication.
