Re-offending by Detected Incidents 2024
- 61% of detected crime incidents in 2024 involved suspected offenders with a history of offending
- 84% of Theft, Fraud, Robbery & Deception incidents were linked to a re-offender
- 83% of Public order incidents were linked to a re-offender
- 80% of Drug incidents were linked to a re-offender
Detected re-offending rates are calculated using offences recorded as a PULSE crime incident. It does not include Non-PULSE Fixed Charge Processing Notices (FCPN’s) such as speeding or parking tickets if the offence sanction (fine) was paid correctly without escalation via any follow-on summons due to non-compliance.
