Male and female joint purchase most common transaction type

Around 59% of purchases of residential dwellings in 2024 were joint transactions undertaken by a male and female. Almost 20% were male sole purchasers while 19% were female sole purchasers.

Meath had the highest share of Male and Female joint purchasers

The highest proportion of male and female joint purchasers were in Meath (68%), Kildare (68%) and South Dublin (67%) while the lowest was 46% in Leitrim.
