The Central Statistics Office publishes statistical data products in the following product formats:
The majority of CSO statistical outputs are published as a statistical release or as a publication. These outputs are often supported by various communications supports such as press releases, infographics, FAQs, Information Notes and Technical Notes. The data supporting these release formats is also published on the CSO’s PXStat database.
Bulletin style outputs vary in content and structure and may be a short -term response to a topical or policy relevant subject matter. Over time, depending on their relevance and frequency, these outputs may transition to standard statistical releases or publications. The data supporting these release formats may be published on the CSO’s PXStat database or as Excel files.
CSO Frontier Series may use new methods which are under development and / or data sources which may be incomplete, for example new administrative data sources. Publishing outputs under the Frontier Series allows the CSO to provide useful new information to users and get informed feedback on these new methods and outputs whilst at the same time make sure that the limitations are well explained and understood.
