Three-quarters of exporters also import goods
Three-quarters of the 8,614 enterprises registered as exporters in 2017 also imported goods (i.e. two-way traders). In contrast, only 20% of the 31,661 importers were two-way traders.
Two-way traders accounted for the vast majority (98%) of the value of all goods exported in 2017 but in contrast on the imports side two-way traders accounted for 78% of all goods imported.
