Aligning the HSE gross current expenditure to Government funded current expenditure on health

HSE gross current expenditure for 2019, from their Annual Financial Statement, is reconciled in Table 6.1 with the total government financing schemes (HF.1) reported under the SHA methodology. HSE expenditure which is not included in the SHA classification is shown in the table, which also includes a detailed breakdown of spending by other government agencies. The purpose of this table is to illustrate the components of expenditure on government funded health care under the SHA methodology and to relate these to national expenditure data.
