The Wholesale/Retail sector was the biggest importer of goods from the UK, importing €12.8 billion of goods from the UK in 2017, or 57% of Ireland’s total UK imports.

The Wholesale/Retail sector also has the highest number of enterprises importing from the UK with 12,761 or 47% of all enterprises importing from the UK. Other Manufacturing and Construction and Services/Other each have approximately 6,300 enterprises importing from the UK.
