The Wholesale/Retail sector was the biggest importer of goods from the UK, importing €12.1 billion of goods from the UK in 2016, or 59% of Ireland’s total UK imports.

The Wholesale/Retail sector also has the highest number of enterprises importing from the UK with 11,884 or 45% of all enterprises importing from the UK. Other Manufacturing and Construction and Services/Other each have approximately 5,700 enterprises importing from the UK.
