The 2025 results show that almost six in ten (58.6%) large enterprises (250 or more people employed) had broadband speed of at least 500 Mbps, compared with 44.6% of medium enterprises (50 to 249 people employed) and 35.4% of small enterprises (10 to 49 people employed). 15.4% of small enterprises had no fixed broadband, compared with 9.0% of medium enterprises and 6.9% of large enterprises.
In 2025, almost two-thirds of enterprises (66.5%) had goods, services, or price information on their websites, while 28.6% had online ordering, reservation, or booking, and 21.9% had advertisements of open jobs or online job applications.
Almost one in ten enterprises (9.7%) had websites with a chat service for customer support, while 7.8% had personalised content for regular/recurrent visitors and 7.4% had tracking of online orders. 6.8% of enterprises had content available in at least two languages and 4.1% allowed customers to design or customise online goods or services.
Almost three-quarters of Irish enterprises (74.2%) used social media.
In 2025, 26.5% of enterprises surveyed used ICT systems or solutions to reduce energy consumption. Almost two-thirds (65.9% of large enterprises used ICT systems or solutions to reduce energy consumption, compared with 41.0% of medium enterprises and 22.4% of small enterprises.
Almost one-fifth (18.0%) of enterprises surveyed used ICT systems or solutions to reduce materials used or enhance use of recycled materials. Almost half (49.8%) of large enterprises used ICT systems or solutions to reduce materials used or enhance use of recycled materials, compared with 29.6% of medium enterprises and 14.7% of small enterprises.
More than one in ten enterprises (10.2%) surveyed monitored the impact of ICT systems on energy or material consumption. Almost four in ten (37.4%) of large enterprises monitored the impact of ICT systems on energy or material consumption, compared with 19.2% of medium enterprises and 7.6% of small enterprises.
