Fish Landings 2023
The quantity of fish landings by all vessels in Ireland in 2023 was 244,990 tonnes (a decrease of 8% from 2022). This quantity corresponded to a value of €396 million (a decrease of 12% from 2022).
Of which:
- Fish landings by Irish vessels in Ireland was 156,920 tonnes (a decrease of 0.01% from 2022). This quantity corresponded to a value of €248 million (a decrease of 16% from 2022).
- Fish landings by foreign vessels in Ireland was 88,070 tonnes (a decrease of 20% from 2022). This quantity corresponded to a value of €148 million (a decrease of 3% from 2022).
Blue Whiting accounted for the species with the highest quantity landed in Ireland at 98,690 tonnes.
Killybegs accounted for the port with the highest quantity of landings in Ireland at 166,423 tonnes.
