Table 6.1 shows that while the price of Bread and Cereals in Ireland was 20% above the EU27 average, the highest price levels were in Switzerland (66% above the EU27 average) and the lowest price levels were observed in Turkey (42% below the EU27 average). Of the Eurozone countries Finland had the highest price levels for Bread and Cereals, 26% above the EU27 average, and the lowest prices in the Eurozone were in Lithuania, 12% below the EU27 average. Denmark was the most expensive while Romania was the least expensive in the EU27 for Bread and Cereals.
Of the 36 countries Ireland was the 8th most expensive. Ireland was the 5th most expensive in the EU27 and the 3rd most expensive in the Eurozone countries, for Bread and Cereals.
