The Agricultural Output Price Index for July 2026 stood 12.3% lower than in July 2025.
The Agricultural Input Price Index for July 2026 was 6.2% higher when compared with July 2025.
Output prices in July 2026 rose by 2.3% compared with June 2026, driven by increases in the prices for Cattle (+4.3%) and Crop Outputs (+6.5%).
Input prices decreased marginally by 0.6% when compared with June 2026.
Terms of trade rose by 2.9% from June 2026 to July 2026 but fell by 17.5% when compared with July 2025.

Statistician's Comment
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today (15 September 2026) published Agricultural Price Indices July 2026. Commenting on the release, Cian O'Riordan, Statistician in the Agriculture Division, said: "The Agricultural Output Price Index for July 2026 fell by 12.3% when compared with July 2025. Milk (-21.8%) and Cattle (-9.7%) in July 2026 were lower compared with July 2025, while there were increases in the prices for Eggs (+12.6%) and Sheep (+9.2%) over the same period.
Output prices in July 2026 rose by 2.3% when compared with June 2026, driven by a rise in the prices for Crop Outputs (+6.5%) and Cattle (+4.3%).
The Agricultural Input Price Index for July 2026 was 6.2% higher than in July 2025, where prices for Fertilisers (+20.2%) and Motor Fuels (+13.5%) rose when compared with July 2025. The Input Prices index in July 2026 saw a minor decrease when compared with June 2026 (-0.6%).
