The Central Statistics Office's social media presence is managed by the organisation's Information Section.
If you follow the @CSOIreland Twitter account you can expect regular tweets announcing the releases and publications that CSO has produced that day.
If you connect to www.facebook.com/CSOIreland you will find general information about the CSO, posts about interesting statistics and developments in the CSO as well as information about specific campaigns such as the Census of Population.
If you view the CSOIrelandmedia channel on You Tube you will see information about the CSO household surveys and interviewers, how to use CSO statistics, publicity campaigns, events and press interviews.
CSO will monitor our Twitter, Facebook and YouTube sites. Emerging themes or helpful suggestions will be monitored and acted upon as appropriate. However, CSO will not reply individually to posts or tweets. The best way to communicate with us is to access the contact us www.cso.ie/en/contactus link on our website.
If you follow the CSO on social media, we will not automatically follow you back. Our decision to follow a Twitter or other social media account does not imply endorsement by CSO. We will remove or block anyone who posts inappropriate or offensive material to any of our social media sites.
CSO will normally update and monitor our social media accounts during office hours only, Monday to Friday.
