If you follow the @POStaidrimh X account, you can expect regular tweets in the Irish language announcing the releases that the CSO has produced that day.
If you follow us on Instagram, you will see posts of infographics and other visual representation of our data, as well as information about CSO recruitment campaigns.
If you follow us on LinkedIn, you will be able to subscribe to the weekly newsletter and see information about the CSO itself, as well as any CSO recruitment campaigns.
If you connect to the CSO's Facebook page you will find general information about the CSO, posts about interesting statistics and developments in the CSO as well as information about specific campaigns such as the Census of Population.
If you view the CSO YouTube channel you will see information about the CSO household surveys and interviewers, how to use CSO statistics, publicity campaigns, events, and press interviews.
The CSO will monitor our X, Facebook, and Instagram pages. Emerging themes or helpful suggestions will be monitored and acted upon as appropriate. However, the CSO will not reply individually to posts or tweets. The best way to communicate with us is to access the Contact Us page on our website.
If you follow the CSO on social media, we will not automatically follow you back. Our decision to follow an X or other social media account does not imply endorsement by the CSO. We will remove or block anyone who posts inappropriate or offensive material to any of our social media sites.
The CSO will normally update and monitor our social media accounts during usual office hours only, Monday to Friday.
