In December 2021 a Memorandum of Understanding between the CSO and the National Archives (PDF 197KB) was agreed.
It was signed by Pádraig Dalton, Director General of the CSO, and Ms Orlaith McBride, Director of the National Archives.
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to agree on the management of the 1926 Census Records between now and their publication by the National Archives
and to set out the roles and responsibilities of the CSO and the National Archives.
