Selected households may choose to be enumerated in either English or Irish and the relevant language version of the form will be made available on request. A translation of the text of the questions is available in Polish, French, Russian, and Chinese. These translations are available from your enumerator or can be downloaded on the Pilot Forms page. We need to have a Pilot so that we can test new questions for the next full Census. We cannot afford to get it wrong in a full census, so we test new questions and field work methods in a small number of selected areas and see what works and what does not.
