Male and female joint purchase most common transaction type

Seven in ten (71.2%) purchases of residential dwellings were joint transactions with a male and female. Just over one in ten (12.2%) were male sole purchasers while a further one in ten (12.3%) were female sole purchasers.

Regions in the Greater Dublin Area have the highest share of Male and Female joint purchasers

The highest proportion of male and female joint purchasers were in Meath (80.5%), Kildare (80%) and South Dublin (79.9%) while the lowest was 58.7% in Longford.
