Public transport passenger journeys up to the end of May are published in table 3.1, table 3.2. 

End of May 2022 public transport passenger journeys climbed to their highest levels since March 2020 but have not yet returned to pre-COVID-19 levels.

Please note that the time series with June 2022 and July 2022 data will be updated in August 2022. 

It should be noted that public transport fares in the Greater Dublin Area were reduced by an average of 20%. This is in line with similar fare reductions across other public transport services in April 2022.

Bicycle Counter Data

Dublin City Council operates cycle counters at five locations across the city, which automatically count cyclists passing in both directions.

The monthly volume of bicycles up to May 2022 are published in table 3.3. June 2022 and July 2022 data will be published in August 2022.
