This chapter shows ICT usage by enterprises with 10 or more persons employed in Ireland in 2017. It provides information on enterprises with e-Commerce sales and purchases. It also provides information on enterprises using broadband and mobile broadband connections.

In 2017, e-Commerce sales accounted for 43% of total sales for large enterprises, 24% of total sales for medium sized enterprises and 22% for small enterprises.

Across all employment size classes in 2017, the proportion of enterprises that have made e-Commerce purchases was higher than those enterprises who have made e-Commerce sales. Large enterprises had the greatest difference between e-Commerce purchases and sales.
