Services Producer Prices were on average 3.6% higher in Quarter 4 (Q4) 2025 when compared with Q4 2024.
The most notable increases in the 12 months to Q4 2025 were in the Real Estate & Rental (+28.0%), Advertising & Other Professional Activities (+9.5%), Legal, Accounting, Public Relations & Business Management Consultancy (+9.1%), and Employment & Human Resource Activities (+7.0%) sectors.
Decreases in the 12 months to Q4 2025 were recorded in the Information & Communication (-6.7%) and Transport (-2.0%) sectors.
Services Producer Prices recorded a quarterly fall of 0.5% in Q4 2025, compared with a quarterly increase of 5.4% in Q3 2025 (See Table 1).
Between Q3 2025 and Q4 2025, notable positive changes were recorded in the Legal, Accounting, Public Relations & Business Management Consultancy (+5.7%), and Advertising & Other Professional Activities (+2.2%) sectors (See Table 2b).
Quarterly decreases were recorded in the Transport (-6.4%), Hospitality (-4.7%), and Travel & Office Admin (-3.2%) sectors (See Table 2b).
Figure 1 presents the annual change for the Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) from Q4 2023 through to Q4 2025.

Statistician's Comment
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today (13 March 2026) published the Services Producer Price Index Quarter 4 (Q4) 2025.
The Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) is a business cycle indicator which provides information on the development of prices for numerous services sectors. This information is used for the analysis of inflation and its sources, but also for the deflation of value measures in the service industry (See Background Notes).
Commenting on the release, Diarmuid Martin, Statistician in the Prices Division, said: "Services Prices charged to businesses and consumers in October, November, and December (Q4) 2025 were on average 3.6% higher when compared with Q4 2024 (See Table 1 & Figure 1). In comparison, the Services Producer Price Index for Q4 2024 reported an annual percentage change of 4.3% (See Table 1).
In the 12 months to Q4 2025, increases were recorded in numerous sectors including 28.0% in Real Estate & Rental, 9.5% in Advertising & Other Professional Activities, and 9.1% in Legal, Accounting, Public Relations & Business Management Consultancy.
This rise was contrasted with a price fall in a range of sectors including -6.7% in Information & Communication and -2.0% in Transport when compared with Q4 2024 (See Table 2b & Figure 2)."
