At 31st December 2022, Ireland's quarterly international investment position ((IIP) results show overall stocks of foreign financial assets of €7,023bn - a decrease of €172bn on the end-September 2022 level, while the corresponding stocks of foreign financial liabilities decreased by €270bn to €7,630 over the quarter. Irish residents had an overall net foreign liability of €607bn at end-December 2022, a decrease of €98bn in the net foreign liability level at end-September 2022 - see Table 5.2.
