At 31st March 2023, Ireland's quarterly international investment position ((IIP) results show overall stocks of foreign financial assets of €7,261bn - an increase of €136bn on the end-December 2022 level, while the corresponding stocks of foreign financial liabilities increased by €103bn to €7,819 over the quarter. Irish residents had an overall net foreign liability of €558bn at end-March 2023, a decrease of €33bn in the net foreign liability level at end-December 2022 - see Table 7.2.
