Unadjusted goods exports were €17.1 billion in November 2025, a decrease of €3.5 billion compared with November 2024.
The value of goods exported over the period January to November 2025 increased by €37.4 billion (+18.0%) to €245.4 billion, when compared with the same period of 2024 (€208.0 billion).
Unadjusted goods imports were €12.0 billion in November 2025, which was €215 million more than imports in November 2024 (€11.8 billion).
Seasonally adjusted goods exports were €17.7 billion in November 2025, a rise of over €1.4 billion compared with October 2025 (€16.2 billion).
Seasonally adjusted goods imports were €11.9 billion in November 2025.
Exports to the United States were €3.9 billion in November 2025, a decrease of 51.0% (€4.1 billion) compared with November 2024 (€8.0 billion).
Exports of Medical & Pharmaceutical Products fell by €3.8 billion (-34.1%) to €7.3 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€11.0 billion).
The most recent month’s data on External Trade in Goods figures are provisional and subject to revision. Revisions to the monthly series back data shall take place, if and as required, on foot of late survey returns, VAT returns and corrections made by traders. The data for the same month a year ago may be considered final – revisions would be applied only in exceptional circumstances. Revisions are applied also to the volume indices and to the seasonally adjusted data.

Seasonally adjusted goods exports increased by €1.4 billion (+8.9%) to €17.7 billion in November compared with October 2025 (€16.2 billion), according to preliminary figures.
Seasonally adjusted goods imports decreased by €22.1 million (-0.2%) leading to an increase of €1.5 billion (+34.2%) in the seasonally adjusted trade surplus to €5.8 billion in November compared with October 2025 (€4.3 billion) (See Table 2)
Seasonal adjustment compares month-to-month data by removing fluctuations that may occur due to seasonal patterns in trade.
The (unadjusted) value of goods exports decreased by €3.5 billion (-17.1%) to €17.1 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€20.7 billion).
The value of goods exported over the period January to November 2025 increased by €37.4 billion (+18.0%) to €245.4 billion, when compared with the same period of 2024 (€208.0 billion).
The (unadjusted) value of imported goods increased by €214.9 million (+1.8%) to €12.0 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€11.8 billion).
The value of goods imported over the period January to November 2025 increased by €6.9 billion (+5.6%) to €129.6 billion, when compared with the same period of 2024 (€122.8 billion).

In November 2025, Ireland’s top exporting partners were the United States, the Netherlands and Belgium, with Ireland exporting 22.9 % (€3.9 billion), 12.1% (€2.1 billion) and 11.9% (€2.0 billion) of total export goods respectively to these countries.
Ireland imported the highest value of goods in November 2025 from the US, Great Britain and China with these countries representing 14.2 % (€1.7 billion), 11.8% (€1.4 billion) and 10.9% (€1.3 billion) of the total import trade respectively to these countries for November 2025.
Exports to Great Britain fell by €9.5 million (-0.7%) to €1.28 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€1.29 billion).
The products which accounted for the largest share of exports to Great Britain were Food & Live Animals at €394.8 million, and Chemicals & Related Products at €275.4 million, representing 30.8% and 21.5% respectively of total exports to Great Britain in November 2025.
Imports from Great Britain increased by €56.5 million (+4.2%) to €1.41 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€1.36 billion).
Exports to the US fell by €4.1 billion (-51.0%) to €3.9 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€8.0 billion).
The products which accounted for the largest share of exports to the US were Chemicals & Related Products at €2.7 billion, and Miscellaneous Manufactured Articles at €637.81 million, representing 67.5% and 16.2% respectively of total exports to the US in November 2025.
Imports from the US fell by €5.7 million (-0.3%) to €1.70 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€1.71 billion).

Exports of Medical & Pharmaceutical Products fell by €3.8 billion (-34.1%) to €7.3 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€11.0 billion). This represented 42.3% of total exports in November 2025.
Exports of Organic Chemicals increased by €159.8 million (+15.0%) to €1.2 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€1.1 billion).
Exports of Office Machines & Automatic Data Processing Machines (including computers) increased by €51.9 million (+8.2%) to €684.4 million in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€632.4 million) (See Table 3).
Imports of Medical & Pharmaceutical Products increased by €124.7 million (+7.8%) to €1.7 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€1.6 billion). This represented 14.5% of total imports in November 2025.
Imports of Organic Chemicals decreased by €250.0 million (-37.5%) to €416.5 million in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€666.5 million).
Imports of Office Machines & Automatic Data Processing Machines (including computers) increased by €415.9 million (+54.2%) to €1.2 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€766.8 million) (See Table 3).

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today (15 January 2026) published Goods Exports and Imports November 2025.
Commenting on the release, Jane Burmanje, Statistician in the International Trade in Goods Division said:
“The value of export goods fell in November 2025 by €3.5 billion (-17.1%) to €17.1 billion compared with November 2024 (€20.7 billion).
Exports to the United States more than halved over this period. Exports of goods to the US fell by €4.1 billion (-51.0%) to €3.9 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€8.0 billion).
However, looking at the period January to November 2025, the total value of export goods rose by 18.0% (€37.4 billion) to €245.4 billion when compared with the same period in 2024 (€208.0 billion).
Imports of goods increased slightly by 1.8% (€215.0 million) to €12.0 billion in November 2025 compared with November 2024 (€11.8 billion).”
