In the 12 months to June 2025, the Agricultural Output Price Index increased by 18.9% while the Agricultural Input Price Index rose slightly by 0.6%.
The Agricultural Output Price Index for June 2025 fell by 1.0% in the month since May 2025. The Input Price Index fell by 0.2% in the month to June.
The most significant Output Price increases in the 12 months to June 2025 were in Cattle (+43.6%) and Milk (+11.9%), while a decrease was recorded in Potatoes (-15.7%).
Over the 12 months to June 2025, increases in Input prices were recorded for Fertilisers (+10.5%) and Veterinary Expenses (+4.7%), while Motor Fuels fell by 6.2%.
Terms of Trade fell by 0.7% in June 2025 when compared with the previous month and was 18.2% higher when compared with June 2024.

Statistician's Comment
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today (14 August 2025) published Agricultural Price Indices June 2025.
Commenting on the release, Sam Scriven, Senior Statistician in the Agriculture Division, said: "Agricultural prices fell in the month to June 2025 with the Agricultural Output Price Index decreasing by 1.0% and the Agricultural Input Price Index falling by 0.2%.
Compared with June 2024, the Output Price Index rose by 18.9% while the Input Price Index was up 0.6%.
The Output Price Indices for Cattle (+43.6%), Milk (+11.9%), and Eggs (+4.2%) all rose over the 12 months to June 2025 while the Indices for Potatoes (-15.7%) was lower than in June 2024.
Within the Input Price Index, Fertilisers rose by 10.5% while Motor Fuels (-6.2%) and Feeding Stuffs (-1.6%) were both lower than in June 2024."
