Agricultural input price index up by over 28% in the year from February 2021.
Agricultural output price index up by just over 19% in the year from February 2021.
The annual terms of trade was down 7.1%.
On a monthly basis, the agricultural output price index is up by almost 3% when compared with January 2022.
The agricultural input price index is also up almost 3% in the same time period.
The monthly terms of trade remained the same in the month of February 2022.

Statistician's Comment
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today (12 April 2022) released Agricultural Price Indices February 2022.
Commenting on the release, Anthony Dawson, Statistician, said: "Today's release details price indices for February 2022. The most significant change is in the price of fertilisers where the price index is up 7.5% in the month from January 2022 and has increased by more than 134% in the year from February 2021. This trend of input price increases is also seen in energy and feed prices which are up 33.3% and 19.3% respectively in the year.
Increases can also been seen in the output price sub indices where the monthly price of milk has risen by 4.9% in the month from January 2022 and is up 28% in the year while cattle prices are up more than 18% annually.
More generally, the monthly agricultural output and input price indices were both up by 2.9% in the month from January 2022 to February 2022. A more detailed look at the monthly output sub-indices shows increases in cattle prices (+3%), while the monthly input sub-indices saw a growth in energy prices (+4%) and feed prices (+2.3%). As a result, there was no change in the terms of trade for February 2022.
Annually, the agricultural output prices index is up 19.2% while the input price index is up 28.3%. The resulting annual change in the terms of trade was down 7.1%."
