Prodcom (Irish Industrial Production By Sector)
The Prodcom Survey is a statutory statistical survey conducted annually under the provisions of theStatistics (Industrial Commodities Production Survey) Order 2022, (S.I. No. 87 of 2022). Under Sections 26 and 27 of the 1993 Statistics Act you are obliged by law to complete and return this form. Any person who fails or refuses to provide this information or who knowingly provides false information may be subject to prosecution under Part VI of the Act.
The purpose of this survey is to provide the value and volume of products manufactured by industrial enterprises in Ireland and sold during the reference year.
Our results are only ever made available in aggregate form to the public and we make sure that it is impossible for individuals or businesses to be identified. The data you provide in this survey will be held for a maximum period of seven years from the date of issue, subject to survey requirements.
Anonymised survey information may be provided to other government departments, approved organisations and approved researchers for statistical purposes only e.g. Eurostat.
Yes. All information supplied to the CSO is treated as strictly confidential. The Statistics Act 1993 sets stringent confidentiality standards: information collected may be used only for statistical purposes.
