Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme
The Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme is a government funded support scheme which provides free energy efficiency upgrades for eligible homes. The aim of the Scheme is to make eligible homes warmer, healthier, and cheaper to run. The scheme is administered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). The purpose of the Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme data is to analyse on an annual basis the transition to more energy efficient homes.
The Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme data is obtained by the CSO from the SEAI under Section 30 of the Statistics Act 1993.
Our results are only ever made available to the public in aggregate form, and we make sure that it is impossible for individuals or businesses to be identified. Anonymised survey information may be provided to other government departments, approved organisations, and approved researchers for statistical purposes only.
Yes. All information supplied to the CSO is treated as strictly confidential. The Statistics Act 1993 sets stringent confidentiality standards: information collected may be used only for statistical purposes and no details that might be related to an identifiable person or business undertaking may be divulged to any other government department or body.
The data will be retained as we need a long time series to understand trends in environment statistics.
