Social Impact of COVID-19 on Women and Men

Survey purpose:

The Social Impact of COVID-19 survey was undertaken to measure the impact COVID-19 has had on Irish society in April 2020. This survey includes such topics as personal well-being, personal concerns related to COVID-19, changes in consumption behaviour and working life since the onset of the COVID-19 crisis.

Statistical Population:

All individuals aged 18 years and over living in private households in Ireland. The original Labour Force Survey (LFS) sample from which this sample was selected was based on Census 2011 data.

Sampling Frame:

The sampling frame consisted of respondents aged 18 years and over that had participated in the LFS commencing Q1 2019. Contact details were collected from those aged under 75 years that completed 5 waves of the survey and from those aged 75 years and over that completed the first wave. The frame is limited to those that provided an email address with only one point of contact per household.
