Is to collect information on discrimination experienced by persons aged 18 years and over in the two years prior to interview. Topics covered include the domain in which this perceived discrimination took place, the perceived grounds for this discrimination, the impact of this discrimination on their lives, their awareness of rights, and actions taken by those who experienced discrimination.

There were 7,852 respondents to this survey (selected sample was 15,000 individuals aged 18 years and over).

Principal Variables:

Data on discrimination experienced in various settings - work-related, social settings such as retail, hospitality and leisure, housing, education, health, dealings with financial institutions, transport, other public services, and in contact with An Garda Síochana. Also included the domain in which this perceived discrimination took place, the perceived grounds for this discrimination, the perceived impact on their lives, their awareness of rights, and actions taken by those who experienced discrimination.
