Services Producer Price Survey - Guidebook

CSO Corporate Report,

Introduction

The Services Producer Prices Index (SPPI) measures changes in the average prices charged by domestic service producers to other businesses or consumers.

 The services given should be:

  • From a typical contract, real or hypothetical
  • should be repeatable each quarter
  • are the most significant and representative to the value of your turnover

How to provide prices

  • Prices should be reflective of the price charged on the 15th of the second month of the reference quarter. For example, for Q3 2024 the price provided would be August 15th.
  • If no mid-quarter price information is available, or if prices are subject to large fluctuations during the Quarter, please quote an average price for the Quarter.

Completing for the first time

If completing this form for the first time, the CSO is looking for an estimate of overall turnover. This estimate, provided voluntarily, should be representative of the last 12 months of business.
