From the February 2020 release, there will be a change of base period for the Residential Property Price Index and its sub-indices.
This means that the indices will represent the change in prices with respect to average annual price for the year 2015, rather than to January 2005.
The February 2020 release (published in April) will be accompanied by a methodological document further outlining the details of this change.
