In addition to the 48,000 prices collected directly in retail outlets and businesses on a monthly basis, there are 137 (135) special inquiries.
Conducted as part of the current CPI. On average, over 3,000 price quotations are collected each month from these inquiries. Inquires are made by post, telephone, e-mail along with internet price collection. They account for the price trends of approximately 49.6% of the basket of goods and services in the All Items CPI.
