1. Following a brief introduction, Michael Connolly and Yvonne Hayden made a presentation regarding the upcoming productivity publication.
2. There was a request for nominal unit labour costs to be presented sector by sector.
3. Where country comparisons are included data relating to Ireland should be presented on the same basis as the other countries e.g. the exclusion of imputed rent/ Dwellings.
4. It was suggested that the structure of the publication should be:
Assumptions and limitations underlying the growth accounting model should also be highlighted.
5. The possibility of providing a breakdown of QALI by sector was discussed.
6. It was suggested that the scale should be broken on graphs for 2015, to allow for comparisons to be drawn for the remaining years.
7. A final point was made to show the composition of capital stocks per employee by asset type.
8. Regarding the Statbank tables, one group member asked if it would be possible to make available the factor shares used for capital, labour and those used for the KLEMS work. It was also requested that labour productivity in levels could be made available on Statbank to allow for additional analysis. Productivity by size class was discussed.
9. In general, the presentation was well received by participants.
10. It was decided that the group would convene again following the publication after the summer break.
